Two most premier long-tenured baseball coaches Rick Lepire and Tony Colantono, give up baseball positions.

Lepire, who has been the leader coach at Vista from the previous 18 seasons, is getting one-year leave and has time-honored a position with Dennis Pugh’s staff at Cal State San Marcos.

After leaving, Lepire will work with the outfielders and ramparts for the Cougars.

Lepire said, “College coaching has always been in the rear of my intellect, Cal State San Marcos is in my plot, so when Dennis presented me this prospect, I jumped at it.

“I’ll go over and will do the best job I can and see what occurs.

“I have the option of inveterate to Vista, but I actually expect I have affirmative college coaching experience.”

As the Vista position is publicized as a one-year project, there have been only two applicants, including Ricky Imperiali, who participated for Lepire and is presently an supporter coach at Vista.
