    Asian Games 2014: Badminton draw sets up Lin-Lee semi-final spar

    In the Asian Games 2014, the draw for badminton men’s singles Monday saw Chinese superstar Lin Dan and Malaysian top performer Lee Chong Wei set on course for a semi-final collide.

    The Fans of these superstars are expecting typical confrontation among twice badminton titans as Lee makes a last bid for gold in his Asian Games swansong.

    The draw is intended by players’ world rankings as per 18 September 2014, so Lee and Chinese second seed Chen Long are at opposed tops of the draw.

He is likely to have to take down Chen in a rerun of this year’s world championships final, where the 25-year-old Chinese powerhouse hurricane to victory.

    Korea’s Son is one to watch for sadden though, having dragged out some stimulated presentations in the men’s team event in Incheon.

    If he lookout to get past Chen, he could then have to Lin or Lee for a Korean gold.

  • OSU wrestling: Home duals against Iowa, Penn State highlight schedule

    The Oklahoma State Wrestling team has announced the dates for the upcoming season on Thursday.

    The Cowboys’ 2014-15 schedule is highlighted by home duals alongside Iowa (Jan. 11) and Penn State (Feb. 15) at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

    The four-time defensive NCAA and Big Ten champs open the season Nov. 9 in Rec Hall against in-state rival Lehigh.

    OSU will also voyage to top-positioned Minnesota on Nov. 29, offering the preseason No. position Cowboys three duals beside top five competitors.

    The two Bedlam duals will come on Dec. 7 in Stillwater and Feb. 8 in Norman. The rivals split last season with dual captivating at home.

    The season opens on Nov. 16 in Miami, where the Cowboys take on Junior College national champion NEO and South Dakota State in a double header.

    The tournament part of the this season schedule is highlighted by the Reno Tournament of Champions on Dec. 21 in Reno, Nev., and the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn., on New Year’s Day.

    OSU was 11-5 in duals last season, and finished third at the NCAA Tournament.

    Sean Christopher Haire, a former mixed soldierly fighter and professional WWE wrestler, apparently died at his home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He commits sucide by hanging and dead at 43.

    According to the report, He was found dead in his bedroom allied to a bedpost with a rope tied around his neck. His father dialed 911 after getting his body in the bedroom.

    MMA and other wrestling fans will probably miss this former pride fighter Haire by his stage name, Sean O’Haire. He exhausted six years contending in World Wrestling Entertainment, World Championship Wrestling and the independent circuit.

    O’Haire made his WCW (World Championship Wrestling) in 2000 before Vince McMahon bought the company and he was selected by the WWF.

    The Kokomo is the popular city has announced for a new plan about the new baseball stadium. The baseball team will play starting next year at this new stadium\m which is under construction in these days. For the proclamation at Kokomo City Hall, Mayor Greg Goodnight joined officially from the prospect league. Michael Zimmerman will own the Kokomo team which will play in the twelve-team, six-state league starting in the 2015 season. Two other Indian teams are the part of this prospect league includes: Richmond RiverRats and Terre Haute Rex.

    This city has announced for the plan of building stadium in the may, saying area high school teams would use it during the spring. It is the part of development project that will also address flooding along Wildcat Creek. This Stadium will host all the home games of prospect league teams in which the teams will let out the stadium and help to maintain best facilities.

    “This is something that’s going to be so crucial to this town,” said Bryan Wickline, the president of the Prospect League’s board of directors. “It’s more than just baseball.”

    “They’re looking at the stadium as a channel for economic development,” said Zimmerman. “The whole renaissance project downtown is extremely exciting and frankly the urban downtown baseball stadium idea really excited me.”

    “You bring a ten million dollar facility into our league, it’s going to be the crown jewel of our league and that’s one of the reasons we’re really excited about this,” said Wickline. “This takes the Prospect League to the next level.”

    The $11.5 million project includes $2.5 million for flood mitigation and $9 million for the stadium, first since Highland Park Stadium of this city was built in 1955. The stadium once served as home to the Kokomo Dodgers, a minor league affiliate for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

    The stadium will lodge up to 4,000 people for baseball and other games. It could also be prolonged for concert and other special events.
